C.1910, Ansonia, La Layon, Royal Bonn, porcelain china clock in very good original condition. This is an attractive two-tone, pink and yellow case with rose decorations and good trademark on the rear. The only thing that keeps this from being excellent is a chip by the right winding hole that was filled in long ago and does not match well (really only noticeable up close). Retains original rear cover, pendulum, hands, etc. Although it is running, it would benefit from service before prolonged use. All of these Bonns have been setting price records on internet auctions. Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn, “La Manche”, C. 1904. Another large case standing 13.75″ high, 14″ wide, all the necessary markings on the case to substantiate what it is. Great colors beginning with Ruby Red on top, slowly changing to dark green on the base. Six feet support the case. The case designer or mold maker must have worked overtime to design such a beautiful case. Excellent 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapement, hands, back cover, and pendulum. The movement is 8 day, runs well and as usual strikes the half hour and hours on a gong. This clock is in excellent condition, and is bright and clean. American sash, beveled glass. Ansonia Clock Co. “La Nord”, Royal Bonn case stamped and signed front and back, ca 1904. Another excellent clock from the same collection. It is a big clock, standing 14 1/2 inches high, 11 1/2 inches wide. 8 day, gong strike, Rocco sash, beveled glass, 2 piece porcelain dial and open escapement. The only thing keeping me from saying this clock is perfect, are 4 faint little hairlines, which you could probably make disappear with a cleaning, or just install a replacement dial ring. It wouldn\’t bother me, just like it is, but if you are trying to collect a perfect set of Ansonia Royal Bonn\’s you will want to change the dial. Primary color is white, with a lot of light blue, rose, yellow and purple flowers, and a smattering of gold around the case edges. More flowers on top and sides than you see on most models. Complete, and a very nice Royal Bonn. Ly-Ansonia, page 607.

C.1911, Ansonia Clock Co., “La Palma”, Royal Bonn, 8-day time & strike porcelain mantel clock in excellent original condition. This is great 4-color case, starting with dark red at top, down to blue at the roof line, then to yellow for the upper front and ending with green at the base. Retains original signed Ansonia movement intact, and with a good porcelain dial with no chips nor cracks. The gold highlights on the case are in especially nice shape. Height 11.8 inches

C.1915, Ansonia, “La Savoie”, Royal Bonn china mantel clock Porcelain china clock in very good condition. The only thing that keeps this form being excellent is a chip in the dial around 2 that has been glued back in and the numeral touched up with black enamel. These replacement chapter rings are available from several suppliers: Timesavers stock no. 20111 is priced at $29 for both the center and chapter ring. The rest of the clock is clean and nice; tri-color motif, dark pink at top to lime green and down to forest green at the base. Height 11 ” $900-1100

C.1905, Ansonia “La Vendee” Porcelain china mantel clock china clock in excellent original condition, movement cleaned and in good running order. This is an attractive case in dark aqua with yellow, purple and dark red zinnias; has usual crazing in glaze coat; note aqua is slightly darker than it appears in the image. The porcelain dial is very good (hairlines at 9 and 10, no chips) and with desirable open escapement. About as good as it gets. Height 14″ $1000-1500

Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn case, “La Verdon”, ca 1901. One of the larger porcelain cases at 14 1/2 inches high, and 13 1/2 inches wide. Decorated in the ever poplar decorator colors, many shades of red, with pink, white, yellow, and purple roses and other flowers. A light sprinkling of gold striping. Movement is 8 day, open escape on the 2 piece porcelain dial. There are major hairlines on the dial ring. I will pack a new outer ring with the clock, you install it. It is also missing the back door. I will include one of those also. There are no breaks, or chips in this beautiful case. This is one that should bring $1500 or more. Ly-Ansonia No.2642.

C.1894, Ansonia, LATONIA and No. 1012 Norman Horse, in generally good condition. Note the statue has been sprayed gold, while the base retains original finish (mostly worn off) Retains original gilt brass dial with fancy support for the escape wheel. This clock sold new for $55. Height 19 inches

Ansonia Clock Co. “Lydia”, ca 1894. You would have tosee it in person to really appreciate the complete restoration of this outstanding early Ansonia clock. Bruce Baziluk refinished it in silver, which is one ofthe finishes Ansonia used on some early pieces. I don’t know where they are, but you just never see one on the market. The catalog pictures almost showyou nothing. I will try to describe it but there is too much detail to doit adequately. The four feet are sea serpents that are intertwined on thesides. Above them, on each side is the bust of Lydia?, and standing aboveher is a cupid with bow and quiver. The cupids are reaching up toward theurn which is designed to look like a pool of water with lily pads. At thebottom-front, an eagle with wings spread. Above the eagle is the unusual dial, sash, beveled glass, hands, and open escapement mechanism, all done up insilver, except for the brass numbers and brass inner dial. Above the dial, are a rams head, and then the urn on top. Total piece is almost 20 incheshigh and 12 inches wide. 8 day movement strikes half hours on a gong. Thisis one nice, big clock, beautifully done up. Awfully tempting to keep a whilelonger as the prices keep going up much faster than the stock market. Ly-Ansonia No. 1585.

Ansonia Clock Co. crystal regulator, “Marquis”, ca 1904. This oneis a notch above the average crystal regulator because of the Jeweled Sashand Jeweled Pendulum. Believe me the jewels make a difference. They are like diamonds in that they pick up and reflect light which draws your attention to them and away from the dirty brass case and the used to be “Rich Gold Ornaments”.Over half of the rich gold has disappeared and the brass needs to be polishedagain. The 8 day movement is ticking away as I type, strikes half hours andhours on the standing gong. The case is 15.5″ high, with 4 beveled glasses.Front glass and one side glass has corner chips. 2 piece porcelain dial hasa hairline on the inner dial, east to west, dirt is what makes you noticeit. As I say repeatedly, would disappear with a cleaning. All jewels intactand retain their bright color. Ly-Ansonia No. 334.
