Ansonia Clock Co. crystal regulator, “Elysian”, ca 1914. 16 1/2 inch case needs to be cleaned and polished. 1 side glass is cracked at one corner, 3 good beveled glasses. Case originally had a rich gold finish, now is dirty, tarnished, may clean up, but more than likely will need a need finish. Imitation mercury pendulum, 1 vial broken. 8 day, striking half hours on a cathedral gong, 2 piece porcelain dial, 1 hairline, open escapement. Some problems but the price was adjusted accordingly. C.1904, Ansonia Clock Co., “Excelsior\’ brass and bronze crystal regulator, as-found. This clock was painted over with gold paint after it turned brown. We polished off a bit of paint to make sure it was brass and it is. Retains original gilt dial mask and dial in perfect condition. The pendulum is a typical Ansonia parlor pendulum, but not the cast bust as shown in Ly”s book. Runs but is dirty. The heavy \’ bevel glass is all perfect. This clock is worth cleaning up. C.1890, Ansonia Clock Co., “Fisher” Swinging Arm clock, in generally good condition. This swing clock is an unusual model with a female fisher figure more often found on double statue examples, but obviously it is completely original. Eight-day movement is complete and marked Ansonia. This clock is in nice, original condition with original hands, numerals, but “as found” needing cleaning of metal parts. Some wear to plating and some gilt parts on pendulum have been painted gold, and the wire from the fisher\’s left hand to the fish has been re-newed. Height 24.5” to top of pendulum. $2,500-$3,000

C.1895, Ansonia Clock Co., “Fortuna”, swinging timepiece in generally good condition, with restorations and losses. This clock has been setting on a mantel in Philadelphia since around 1970, but was sprayed gold at that time; it is otherwise complete and sound. The arm retains original movement, hands and hardware, however the tip to the top ribbon is broken away, and the hole portion only of the suspension has been home-made (works OK). Ansonia Clock Co., very large wall clock, the “General”, ca 1914. Not as nice as the General’s we had in past years, because it needs a little work. The case should be 68 inches high; of course with the top ornament missingit is a little shorter now. There are any numbers of people who can makethe top ornament, but it would help if you could borrow an original ornamentfrom someone. All the other pieces are intact. The 8 day, 2 weight movement, is signed and generally in good condition. The hands and weights are replacements, but are good replacements. Brass pendulum is not as smooth as we would likebut the dents can be smoothed. The big old case is hard to move or hang, and you will no doubt find a bruise or two caused by someone like me tryingto carry it thru a doorway. Ansonia Clock Co. Crystal Regulator, “Gonfalon”, ca 1906. Brazilian green onyx top, base, and columns. The central part of the case is a typical crystal regulator with 4 perfect beveled glasses, polished brass case and rich gold ornaments. The case was restored several years ago, so is very clean, bright inside and out, and running very well. Note the Roman frieze acrossthe top, 2 unusual finials above the columns, very nice capitals and bases, and other ornaments on and about the case. 8 day, striking a standing cathedralgong on the half hours, round movement with rack and snail count. Very attractiveimitation mercury pendulum. 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapementwith jeweled pallets. This type onyx has several shades of colors and inthe veins between colors it looks like a crack or break when actually thereisn’t one. I have checked the case closely and see only one place that mostsurely is a hairline or a split. It is near impossible to see the split whereit is. I just had to find something so I couldn’t say the clock was perfect.Ly-Ansonia No. 409.

C.1890, Ansonia “Huntress”, swing clock with canister style arm, and in generally good condition. One item of restoration is a new back dust cover which has been very nicely made. Otherwise this is a good original clock with nice patina on the statue. The dial has a water mark across it from the lower portion of the dial getting wet at some time. Still we have suggested a modest estimate to attract interest on this clock, and it is a decent example of this model. Height 24.5 inches

C.1904, Ansonia “INDIANA and MIGNON No. 1050”, in generally good condition. This clock sold new for $53.50 in 1904. The statue was professionally refinished by Charles Carrick; the black iron base was repainted with a brush (looks OK, but you can see the brush marks when up close). Still a large and impressive clock. For additional information, see Ly, No. 1481, page 382. Has large open escapement movement with gilt brass dial and original hands. Also note that this Indiana iron base is heavier and more durable than the similar Florida base, plus has inset scenes on each side. Height 27 inches

C.1895, Ansonia “Jumper No. 2″ in very good condition, with proper repro doll. The movement is fairly clean and tries to run, but the doll is perhaps a bit heavy, as it is slightly out of beat, and stops after only a minute. Original dial is excellent and the case undented and stand never broken. Generally a very good example. Height 14” Reserve $750
