    There is one leaf missing along the top. The whole lamp has been re-bronzed, and the wiring, sockets and lamps are modern so that the lamp can be used.     The figurines, the flag and the deck have been cleaned so there is no remaining finish. The ship’s wheel rotates back and forth as the clock ticks. The cast iron case with gilt inlay is in very nice condition. The porcelain dial has no chips or hairline cracks. The hands are original. Overall a very clean example of this model.

    Mike had a new ships wheel cast, as the original sheet brass one had deteriorated. The new one is cast from tinned lead and is a bit too heavy to perform properly. The clock is otherwise complete and sound. For details, see Ly Ansonia book (1998), page 363, figure 1380. Height 18.5 inches

The whole clock has a few coats of black paint that need removal and proper finish applied. The metal figures are sound and show no signs of damage or repair. This clock will restore nicely.     Beautiful Japanese Bronze finish, enameled iron base, statues and ornaments identical to the catalog pictures. Recently restored by Bruce Baziluk. Movement is 8 day, strikes a gong on hours and half hours. Has a two piece porcelain dial, open escapement, a few hairlines that were cleaned in an ultrasonic machine and are now very difficult to see. This beautiful piece of art is 21 inches high and 20 inches wide. Correct pendulum, clock runs. Ly-Ansonia No.483.

    This clock came with the 250 clock collection that has been in storage a few years. It is very unusual in that the normal “enameled iron base” is not enameled, but has a gold wash, that is original, and was no doubt an option available from the factory. There has been no restoration or changes made to the finish, but is pleasing and shows very little oxidation. It is complete, has been serviced, and all the extras are nice and proper, such as, 2 piece porcelain dial, beveled glass, hands, outside escapement, back cover, pendulum. The case is 20.75″ high, 20.5″ wide. The collector-repairman who owned this collection choose very fine, original clocks, and everyone of his clocks we have found to be in sound running condition.     costly when new and complete, this example is ready for restoration. Both statues have been detached and mounted on wooden bases. The top urn is apart and incomplete. The bronzed finish is mostly absent, and the black painted base is worn. The white enamel dial has chips and repairs; the pallet pins are steel; the hands are incorrect.     The case is in nice condition with the exception of the top tip which was recently broken and glued. The porcelain dial and beveled door glass are perfect. The hands are original. The movement is die stamped by the maker. The verge needs repair as the two jeweled pallets have broken off. One of the pallets is taped to the glass (replacements are available). Note Bonn trademark now absent. Attractive sky blue color with dark pink and yellow flowers. Would be a $1000 clock if perfect. Height 13.5 inches

    Beautiful11 inch oak case, 8 day, double spring, time only movement, serviced and running. Full label on the back has been well preserved. Everything is clean and polished, only one fault with this clock. The metal inner dial has been replaced with cardboard which covers up the seconds hand, otherwise the clock is near perfect. I would assume they couldn’t find a correct dial with a seconds dial. Ly-Ansonia No.702.

    in excellent original condition. We looked through several Ansonia catalogs and could not find this one, however, it has the same Calendar Dial and movement as Parlor Ink no. 3. Retains original hexagonal crystal ink wells and unusual Egyptian covers. The base and covers are spelter, and retain old oxidized finish. Note fancy gilt pen holder with horseshoe (ballpoint in photo). The original paper dial has a tan spot in the lower right quadrant, but is quite legible and the Ansonia trademark shows clearly.     This is one of their models with onyx top and base, and uses some metal decorations on the top and base of the four corners, and a small ornament under the roof line. This 14 inch case is generally good to excellent. I can only find one small chip in the green onyx, it being on the corner just below the left frontdoor post. Feet are different than those shown in the catalogs for this model, but they are correct Ansonia feet and I am sure were interchanged all thetime between the crystal regulators. 2 piece porcelain dial, hands, and open escapement, are near perfect, only one hairline near 10 oÕclock. 8 day movement, gong strike on half hours, everything signed by the maker, just an awfully nice example of the onyx crystal regulators.
