Made in a blue delft case, Dutch scenes, lions head on top, paw feet on the base. 8 day movement, strikes half hours on a coil gong, running. The case is 12 inches high, has the German firing marks on the back, but like all the delft cases, has no model name fired or marked on the case. Of course, everyone knows it is the “LaRamba”, sometimes also called the “LaRambla”. Nice 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapement, French sash, beveled glass. The clock is polished, shining, clean inside and out. From the large collection of Ansonia clocks we acquired last fall. Ly-Ansonia No. 2580.

Another very different case. Beginning with a lions head on top, open spaces on the sides, a painting of Holland women below the dial, front feet are decorated with heads of unknown subjects. The cases with Dutch scenes are very collectable. The colorful case is rose red on top, changing to light green and finally dark green on the base. The top has a latticework design. Very rare, large, unusual decorated case. The case is signed and marked in every way the German case makers signed them; the red Royal Bonn stamp, the name “La Plata” fired into the case, various numbers and letters meaning some-thing to the case makers. This is a great looking case with ruby, green and blue tints, and the usual gold accents. At the top is a lions head, feet with cherub faces, open loops on the side, and the most rare scene of Holland women on the front. This is a near perfect case, clean inside and out, running, and has all the usual attributes, open escape, 2 piece dial, correct back door, pendulum, and running. Ly-Ansonia, page 605.

Signed all over the back by the case makers. Although small compared to some of the preceding clocks, it has great style. Note the lions head on top, the swirls and raised leaf designs all the way to the base. I guess this one would be called apple green and only the feet are a real green. Heavy on the gold accents, large ruby flowers front and sides, one piece porcelain dial, beveled glass, and all the other good and original things that came on the Ansonia clocks. The dial has been papered over, and is damaged underneath; domed crystal is incorrect. If you have a spare movement/dial set up you could restore this nicely. Height 11.5 inches

This is an exciting case to study. The designer surely had fun that day. Shell design on top, open figure eight, and the many loops and curls all the way to the bottom. No breaks, chips, or repairs to this good looking case. Beautiful large flowers painted front and sides, gold accents as always, used in just the right places. The case is properly marked and signed on the back of the case, the movement, and the dial. A large case at 13.5″ high and 13″ wide. Colors are Ruby on top changing gradually to green at the base. 8 day movement, striking half hours on a standing gong. French sash, beveled glass, 2 piece porcelain dial with open escapement, correct hands, and runs very good. The pendulum and back door cover are correct. It is a big clock, standing 14 1/2 inches high, 11 1/2 inches wide. 8 day, gong strike, Rocco sash, beveled glass, 2 piece porcelain dial and open escapement. The only thing keeping me from saying this clock is perfect, are 4 faint little hairlines, which you could probably make disappear with a cleaning, or just install a replacement dial ring. It wouldn’t bother me, just like it is, but if you are trying to collect a perfect set of Ansonia Royal Bonn’s you will want to change the dial. Primary color is white, with a lot of light blue, rose, yellow and purple flowers, and a smattering of gold around the case edges. More flowers on top and sides than you see on most models. I found another 2-piece dial in nice condition, which I will ship with the clock and you install it. This model is not pictured in either of Ly’s Ansonia books, however it is clearly identified on the rear. Height 11 inches
