Ansonia Clock Co. crystal regulator, “Gonfalon”, C. 1906. Came 2 ways, Brazilian Green or white onyx. The top, base and columns are white onyx. We sold a green one in the last auction for $2375, just a little sharper than this one. The brass was polished and had been restored, where the brass parts on our white one has never been polished. We did tighten the case to prevent any breakage of the onyx. I note a couple of places that could be a small break but as I have said repeatedly the veins in onyx many times are misleading and are not actual breaks. All the beveled glasses are good, no chips. The 4″ porcelain dial has a faint hairline at numeral one. The hands are original as is the fancy faux mercury pendulum, all in good condition. 8 day movement strikes a standing gong on the half hour and hours. A good cleaning and polishing would make this clock almost as nice as our green one last auction. Refer to our July 2003 catalog, # 83. Ly-Ansonia #409.

Ansonia Clock Co. Crystal Regulator, “Gonfalon”, ca 1906. Brazilian green onyx top, base, and columns. The central part of the case is a typical crystal regulator with 4 perfect beveled glasses, polished brass case and rich gold ornaments. The case was restored several years ago, so is very clean, bright inside and out, and running very well. Note the Roman frieze acrossthe top, 2 unusual finials above the columns, very nice capitals and bases, and other ornaments on and about the case. 8 day, striking a standing cathedralgong on the half hours, round movement with rack and snail count. Very attractiveimitation mercury pendulum. 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapementwith jeweled pallets. This type onyx has several shades of colors and inthe veins between colors it looks like a crack or break when actually thereisn’t one. I have checked the case closely and see only one place that mostsurely is a hairline or a split. It is near impossible to see the split whereit is. I just had to find something so I couldn’t say the clock was perfect.Ly-Ansonia No. 409.

Ansonia Clock Co., crystal regulator with white onyx top, base, and columns, called the “Gonfalon”, ca 1906. An 8 day clock, striking half hours on a cathedral gong, and is running and running. Porcelain dial is 2 piece with open escapement. 1 little flea bite at 1 o\’clock. Round movement, signed, rack and snail count. Imitation 2 jar mercury pendulum. 4 beveled glasses, all good. Brass frieze above the dial, 2 columns with brass capitals and bases, finials on top, ornaments top and base. 1 piece of onyx on top, behind the ornament, cracked in 2 places, and another on the right side of the base, above the metal post. Both can be repaired. Case is not real clean, doubt if it has ever been cleaned. Someone has added red felt cloth on the base. Ly-Ansonia No.409.

C.1904, Ansonia Clock Co., “Goblin” 30-hour Royal Bonn porcelain timepiece in very good original condition. A very pretty timepiece with shades of green offset with yellow and purple flowers. There is some loss of the gold highlights from normal use. The case is very clean with no cracks nor damage. The original dial is also very clean with original hands, however the dial pan is loose in the bezel. Good Royal Bonn trademark. Note set stem is absent. Height 6 1/4″

Ansonia Clock Co. miniature Royal Bonn clock named “Glory”. It stands 6-1/2 inches high and has no breaks, chips, or repairs. The name Glory, Royal Bonn Germany, and various numbers and symbols, are fired into the case. Movement is one day, time only. The winding key is not long enough and is hard to get my fingers around it to wind. The movement has been in PaPa’s shop for repair because he forgot to put some of the screws back in place and left off a hand setting key. It tries very hard to run, and does run sporadically. Two inch signed paper dial, beveled glass, and plain brass dial surround. Ly-Ansonia, No. 2483.

C.1890, Ansonia Clock Co., “GLORIA SWING”, in good restored condition. The statue has been nicely repainted; however some pits from old corrosion still show through (looks fine, this is just for the fussy customer). The ball has been refinished in antique gold, and the movement cleaned. The clock is in running order. Generally a good example of the Gloria. Height 28.5 inches

C.1901, Ansonia GLORIA Swing clock in good original condition, except for a new suspension block (minor). There are some scratches and dirt accumulation on the ball and arm, but overall good looking. Most folks would rather buy one like this than fully restored. Height 28.5 inches

C.1905. Ansonia Clock Co., New York “Gloria” ball swing clock. This is a nice example with no breaks in the statue. The statue has been rebronzed by Charles Kerrick, but the pendulum and movement balls retain their original blue finish which has appropriate wear. The hands are original, but painted and need polishing. Has proper movement, shield and all hardware. Height 28.5 inches

Ansonia Clock Co., “Gloria Ball Swing”, ca 1901. One of the most poplar of the Ansonia swing clocks, possibly because of the wings. This is an absolutely stunning clock, 100% original, and beautifully refinished by Bruce Baziluk, in Syrian Bronze, with pale green color on the dress ands both balls. Base is original, 8 day, time only. Clock stands 28 1/2 inches high, ball is 4 1/2 inches. Not much to say, other that about perfect, running. Ly-Ansonia No.3005.

Clock and arm appears to be all original including hands and suspension with original finish. Typical wear on brass, gilt and painted surfaces.
