C.1878, Ansonia Clock Co., “Crystal Palace No. 1″ 8-day time/strike walnut clock. This example has been nicely restored. The bezel is marked with a patent date of 1876. The dial has turned a little brown from age and there is some wear to the numbers. The mirror has some tarnished areas. This is Davies\’ early configuration with spun bezel and soldered accents. The movement is signed Ansonia. There is no dome with this clock. Height 18”

Ansonia Clock Co. “Crystal Palace No. 2 Extra”, ca 1875. Label on the back states, “Davies Sole Man’f’ The Crystal Palace Clocks Patented Jan y 26. 1875”. H. J. Daviess’ sold his clocks thru the Ansonia trade catalogs and the American Clock Co. catalog. This model was called the “Extra” because of the cupid behind the pendulum. 8 day, bell strike. This is another fine, almost perfect clock from the Miller Collection. It stands 17 inches with the dome. You collectors that like the Crystal Palace’s I will say that I have had many of them, none better than this one. I challenge you to find one better. Ly-Ansonia, pages 96-99.

C.1904, Ansonia Clock Co., “CYMRIC and No. 1174”, in very good restored condition. The statue and base have been restored by Charles Carrick. The iron base retains original faux red marble enamel over iron (waxed). Clock has a good porcelain dial and original hands. Height 23 inches

C.1900, Ansonia Clock Co., “Dolores” in generally good original condition. This is an attractive Art Nouveau style with old finish on the case. The minute hand is a replacement. The porcelain dial is in good condition. There is NO pendulum with the clock (replacements available from Timesavers). The original price on this model was $30. Height 16 inches

Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn porcelain case, “Dresden Extra”, ca 1895-1905. There is a large stamp, or label, on the back that says, “Manufactured Expressly For the American Wringer Co. New York, No.1667”. There is a small chip on the base, in back, that may just be a firing imperfection. Case is 13 1/2 inches wide, 12 1/2 inches high. Green tints, roses and other flowers on all sides, and gold striping. 8 day, half hour gong strike, is running. Pendulum and back door correct.Typical Ansonia porcelain clock but not a model they made to sell from their catalogs. C.1905, Ansonia, ECHO, animated alarm clock; the boys arm holds a hammer which beats on the bell when it alarms. WITH REPAIRS. Note the original cup shaped bell+stem broke off and someone drilled and tapped the stem and added a “bell shaped” bell from another novelty. Original paper dial has some wear at the center of the alarm circle, otherwise fine. Would be worth $2000 if original. Height 7.5 inches

Ansonia Clock Company crystal regulator, “Elysian”, C. 1914. Case was made with a rich gold finish of which 90% of it has disappeared. It stands 16.5″ high, complete and original with a nice 2 tube imitation mercury pendulum, 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapement, 4 great beveled glasses. The 8 day movement has been cleaned, serviced, and it just keeps on running. This would be an awfully nice clock is you will regilt, or put some kind of finish on the metal. Our minimum reflects that you will have to spend a little to put it back in good condition. Would be $650-$750 if finish was better. Ly-Ansonia #360.

Ansonia Clock Co. mantle clock, “Farmers” or “Cottage” model, C. 1880. 11″ mahogany case. This is the clock pictured in Ly-Ansonia #1702 and #1703 that was owned by my friend David Clark. Complete blue label in side the case, original dial still in very nice condition. The movement is one day time and alarm. The alarm rings on an iron bell. Everything is original, glasses, pendulum, dial, in very good condition.

C.1890, Ansonia 8-Day “Fisherman Swing” This is the desirable small can model, with original 3″ dial (minor rust stain on paper dial near center – from hour hand). The statue retains outstanding original patina with the perfect amount of oxidation. The canister retains nickel plating and sharp edges. We find that not all of these small canisters run 8-days; this has the heavy spring with rear winding stud that is designed to go a week. In excellent original condition.. Height 25″ Reserve $3100
