C.1895, Ansonia Huntress Swing Clock, with restored statue. This
clock came from a family in Connecticut, who tired of the dingy looking statue, so had their auto body friend spray it gold. The arm support broke out of her hand long ago and was soldered; very tip of top ribbon trim is broken away. Still, the arm is clean and original and in running order. I believe the estimate leaves room for restoration. Height 24 inches

There are some very minor scrapes in the bronze finish of the statue – normal wear and tear). The very top loop on the bow-tie is missing from the arm (hardly noticeable). This clock is otherwise virtually like new. Height 24′

Not too much to say here. The patinated gold finish on the statue has had some touch up but is essentially all there. The arm is complete and sound and with good original paper dial (with minor spots).. Height 25″

Contemporary Ansonia Huntress Ball Mystery Clock.
8 day time only movement, running very strong. An excellent copy of the original Ansonia swinger that is currently selling for $2-3000. Only a knowledgeable clock person could tell from the originals. The balls are finished in blue, dress is green, body brown, base black enameled iron. 4 1/2 inch ball. The clock runs as well as any swinger we have had. Identical to Ly-Ansonia No.2993.

Ansonia Clock Co., New York, “Huntress Swing”, 8 day swinging arm timepiece, the movement contained within the canister, commonly called the “Tin Can” arm, c.1885.
gilt trim on the canister is well preserved while the rods have lost most of the gilt from handling. The nickel plating on the canister is fairly worn. The statue is aged to a nice patina with the bronze finish being the best preserved on the support arm. On other areas it has worn off. It is our opinion that the dial paper was changed. There are a couple of very small paint chips on the base. Hands are original. Ht.24.5″

Condition: this clock is in very good original condition; the gilding rubbed off the components of the arm, and turned brown, and minor nicks in the black paint on the base. With a dental mirror we were able to see that the movement is properly signed on the front plate. A nice example of the Huntress model. Height 24 inches

The rear dust cover is a replacement; the paper dial has a water stain showing with a light brown line across from 4 to 8. Otherwise, this is a good old swinger with original finish on the statue and a good look. Movement is signed with proper Ansonia insignia. Height 24.5 inches
