The dial is clean with original hands and beveled glass; reflector ring bent slightly from removal for cleaning. It also has a very nice embossed outer bezel. Height 5″

    This clock has a fancy French type dial with Ivorine numerals. There is some gilt loss on the mounts. The case has a very pretty red marbleized finish, in excellent original condition; most of these were black and we do not often see other colors. The glass has been replaced (well done) and the bezel has a solder repair at the hinge; still overall very good to excellent condition. Height 13 inches

    Not your typical Calais. They are usually plain black enameled. This one resemble adamantine. I suppose it is black and green paint on the iron case with bronze trimmings. It is 13.5″ high, very nice all over, and complete. Flat glass in the sash, signed paper dial, good hands, all appear original to the case. Signed 8 day movement, half hour gong strike, original pendulum and metal back door. Ly-Ansonia No. 974.

    A very good iron case, paint is holding, Verde bronze ornaments all intact and in nice condition, standing 13.5″ high. It is all original except for a new flat glass in the sash and a new paper dial ring. It has the original metal back cover, pendulum bob, Cathedral gong, and the signed 8 day time and striking movement. It is a half hour striking movement. Actually a very nice clock. Porcelain dial is near perfect and hands are original. Movement is properly signed. This model was US answer to the French Boulle style. A great beginners clock; clean and running briskly.     Made in 4 sizes this is the middle size with a 6 inch dial. Made of black walnut with a twisted “Cable” or rope effect around the outer edge. Lever movement is 8 day, double wind, seconds dial and running just fine. I first thought there was some old advertising in the center, but now I am not sure what it is. Full backboard label is pretty nice considering the age. Ly-Ansonia No. 707.

    Some good, some bad, needs help. What you see is pretty good and original except for the four finials that are replacements. What you do not see are the four small brass ornaments, about 1 inch square, on the four corners around the dial. This clock has the old finish, stands 19 inches high. 8-day movement is running very evenly, striking hours on a standing gong. The brass dial has raised numerals, correct hands. On the verge of being a valuable and collectable clock. Ly-Ansonia No. 851.

    They made 6different case styles of this series of cabinet clocks, all heavily decoratedwith brass trimmings on the Antique Oak case. This model is 19 inches high, with a good dark oak finish and has retained all the brass trim except forthe small one inch pieces on the 4 corners. The four top finials are oldreplacements. There is a wood split on a side piece that will glue togethereasily. Movement is 8 day, running good, striking half hours on a standinggong. The brass dial has raised numerals, correct hands. The original pendulumhas been replaced. A little cleaning and it will be real nice. Ly-Ansonia No. 851.

    This was the last model in the series of 6 clocks, each made of Antique Oak with Brass Trimmings. The front is almost completely covered with brass trimmings and glory be I think it is all there, original, and never cleaned or polished. Same with the case. I’ll retract just a little. One of the 4 balls on top has been replaced. Good work but nonetheless replaced. This clock has an original paper dial, gilt metal sash and bezel. Glass is convex. All of the series have 8 day striking movements. Strikes a standing cathedral gong. Signed dial and movement, correct pendulum. Oak case is 19″ high, 12″ wide. Ly-Ansonia #851.

    This case has been re-finished to a dark honey color, and has some nicks and bruises. It is amazing that all of the brass trim is still there. The minute hand is replaced and an Ansonia set should be ordered from Timesavers. The movement is clean and running and the clock is overall in very good condition. A very uncommon clock. Height 18′

    One in a 6 clock series of cabinet clocks each with brass trimmings, this the only one with the open well-exposed pendulum design. Also the largest of the series at 23 inches high. Made of Antique Oak, now with a medium finish, not a blemish anywhere. Expertly refinished by Bruce Baziluk the brass is clean and shining like a new dollar. Brass dial with black raised numerals. Movement is 8 day, striking hours on a cathedral gong, running like a top. No negatives, they don’t get any better. Ly-Ansonia No. 847. That book reports a value at $1750, but none of his experts saw this clock. We will call it perfect.

    Anotherclock in this series of 6 cabinetÕs Ansonia made with Antique Oak cases thathad a plethora of brass trim. Earlier in the catalog we had the Cabinet Fpictured. This is the tallest, standing 23 inches high, and the only onewith a visible pendulum, which by the way is the correct Minerva head pendulum.Movement is 8 day, running real strong and striking half hours on an exposedcoil gong. Cast brass dial and dial surround, plain sash and flat glass.Hands appear to be original. There are a couple of pieces of brass that maynot be correct. The eagle on top is not like the top ornament shown in thebooks, but it is patriotic. Also, the bottom trim piece is different fromthe book. There is a small ding in the wood on the right front case cornerat about 2 oÕclock. Ly- Ansonia No. 847.

    Antique Oak with brass trimmings, stands 18.5″ high. The top ornament, cupids and an hourglass, has several dates inscribed on the flowing sash around the cupids, such as, 1886, 1887, 1888, etc. which I suspect represents the passing of the years. On each side is one of the mythical gods, and another figure on the front bottom. Very nice original brass dial and sash. 8 day movement strikes a gong on half hours and is running just fine. Complete, original, and untouched. Ly-Ansonia #849.

    Condition: Oak case with brass trimmings is in very nice, almost perfect condition with original finish. Two small buttons on the sides are missing (only apparent on close inspection). There is one on the center, bottom, to allow for a copy to be made. Silvered dial is very clean. Hands are original. Movement is properly signed. This series of cases resembles the Cabinet Antique series offered by Ansonia at the time, but this model for a lower price. We expect a lot of interest in this clock. Width 11.5″ Height 18 inches
