C.1886, Ansonia Novelty clock No. 44, Locomotive in good original condition. These are white metal castings with fine detail and are relatively fragile. Many that we see have fallen off the shelf and the cow catcher broken and so on; this one is still intact (wear to gilding and silvering commensurate with age). Although the dial is dark and there are minor nicks and scrapes, this is still a good example and with rear wind movement running. See also lot 550. Height 7″

Ansonia Clock Co. “Office Regulator”, C. 1901. Excellent black walnut case with the original finish, the polished case has been rubbed leaving a nice sheen. Some finish has worn off around the brass dial ring and bezel. The dial is original, darkened slightly as paper dials will, particularly after 100 years of use. Putty around the top glass is original and largely still intact. As usual we see wear on the gold-silver around the bottom glass. There is a near perfect black label, inside the case. This fine 8 day, half hour striking clock, appears to be 100% original, and is running nicely. Ly-Ansonia #655.

C.1880, Ansonia Clock Co., “Parisian\’, walnut parlor clock, restored. This is a decent clock in running order, but has incorrect single barrel pendulum (should be double), has incorrect minute hand and top, center finial is turned to match the other 2, and should be as pictured in the Ansonia catalog (looks OK); original dial is excellent; would be $450 if correct; Height 23\’

C.1904, Ansonia, PLATO CLOCK, first patented in 1902. This one is in good original condition, with minor oxidation on the stamped brass case. Although several digital clocks occurred in Europe in the last quarter of the 19th century, this was the first all American digital novelty. Height 6.25 inches

C.1901, (dated presentation) Ansonia Clock Co., “Prism”, 8-day crystal regulator, with fancy brilliant surround bezel and brilliant studded pendulum. (These were options on the entire Ansonia line) The case has been polished and is in very nice condition. The porcelain dial is perfect and all brilliants are intact. The hands are original. The movement is properly die stamped by the maker. The beveled glass is good. This clock was given to a Herman Bloch on Nov. 3, 1901 as engraved on the top of case. A good looking crystal regulator. Height 11 inches

Ansonia Clock Co. hanging, “Reflector”, ca 1886. 35 inch ebony case, decorated with gilt embossed ornaments, beveled mirrors. It has an outstanding mint glass. Many turned finials, railings top and bottom, and a drawer at the bottom for your valuables or a key. This is another near perfect clock from the Miller collection. The dial paper may have been replaced years ago. 8 day movement is running, strikes a cathedral gong. Complete label on the back, signed beat scale. Ly-Ansonia No.575.

Ansonia Clock Co. hanging “Regulator A”, ca 1906. The 32 inch case is solid wood, no veneer except on the bottom door. It was stripped some time back and there are tell tale signs where the case was gouged. Half of the label remains, there is a new paper dial. The “Regulator A” glass and the top glass are original, as is the old pendulum and wood stick.This is an 8 day running clock, striking the half hours on a gong. It is a strong running clock that will provide many years of excellent service for the new owner. Ly-Ansonia No.660.
