Jan 2022 – #186 Antique American Clocks Ansonia Clock Co. “Tribute”, A 9.5-inch porcelain case in plum with a visible escapement behind a beveled glass. The colors have not faded, with matching purple flowers on the front and sides. An Ansonia logo on the inner porcelain dial, correct hands, and an 8-day, time-and-strike signed movement that is running vigorously and striking a small cathedral gong.

Antique Ansonia Tribute Clock
Jul 2021 – #179 Antique American Clocks Ansonia Clock Co. “Tribute”, ca. 1910. Another porcelain clock from Ansonia that does not appear in Ly’s book on Ansonia clocks. The case is 9.5 inches tall with a signed paper dial and a bright brass center dial and bezel, holding a flat glass. The hands are Ansonia hands. A nice cobalt blue-trimmed case with no chips or loss of paint, and only the slightest crazing. The signed 8-day movement is running, striking the hours and half-hours on a flat wire gong. Signed “Tribute” on the back. Horton’s sold this clock to the consignor in 2015 for $325.
