There is a nice soft gloss finish on this large wall clock. The original paper dial tells us the clock was made for a West Virginia jeweler, and has minor toning and one brown spot by III. The glass is original. The clean open-spring time-only movement ticks. 18″ dial, 23″ overall diameter.

Oak case is 23 inches high, Arabic dial is 18 inch signed, “Ansonia Thirty Day”, plus has a large seconds dial. The clock is running beautifully, case, dial, hands, pendulum, are all original and in nice condition. The old paper dial, on metal, shows soil marks and oil spots, but just enough to make it look 90 years old. The glass is wavy but may not be original. I do know the wood strips have been tampered with but that doesn’t necessarily mean the glass is new. Ly-Ansonia #676.

The mahogany case has been refinished. The 18 inch paper dial is original. The hands are original. The movement is signed. Overall a very clean example of this model.

Oak case in original finish. Large heavy paper dial sandwiched between a thin metal plate has some light stains in the center area. There are extra holes in the case that could indicate another dial might had been on this clock, but this dial is just as found in Ansonia catalogs. The minute hand may have an tail as examples in the catalog show one, but these hands are original. Ht 23 1/2″

this large wall clock has had some major alterations including the worn black paint on the case and thin-wood dial with extra holes, the foreign movement, and the white painted hands. The pendulum is absent. Overall diameter 24″
