C.1875, Ansonia Brass and Copper Co, Ansonia, Conn, DROP EXTRA CALENDAR, 8-Day, time and strike with months showing on W. A. Terry patent calendar.
Condition: the case retains original finish, nicely polished, with one veneer chip on the door stained in. The dial has been professionally repainted. Has a label that is quite dark, but you can read it with a strong light. For information on this model, see Tran Ly’s book titled Calendar Clocks, pages 20-23. Height 26 inches

Condition: Refinished rosewood veneered case in generally good condition with some veneer loss on the dial door between 3 and 5 o’clock, other minor chips, and with the 2 finials missing on either side of lower door. Bottom tablet is original. Original painted dial is very nice with paint flaking at the winding arbor and one other small flake. Both hands are from another clock and with repairs. Nice label inside case, a bit dark with age. Worth restoring. Height 26 inches [66.04 cm]

the attractive rosewood case has some minor losses and a small bubble in the bezel area; the original finish was varnished over some time ago which has left the surface irregular. The original label is good and original hands intact; period tablet is old and perhaps from another clock, however looks fine. The original dial is good with minor losses, and the Terry Patent portion is a bit worn and light; note calendar wheel has been re-blacked. C.1874, Ansonia Brass and Copper Co., DROP EXTRA, 8-day time and strike, with 12″ dial, rosewood case (this model often supplied with Terry patent calendar).
Condition: the case was refinished long ago and with nice patina; there is some wear to the label, and the dial was papered over maybe 40 years ago and tablet repainted. Otherwise this is an excellent example of this model, with all veneer intact, and good original movement hands, and pendulum. Ht 26″
