8 day balance wheel movement, half hour gong strike, runs very well. Nice one piece porcelain dial, rocco sash, beveled glass. Case expertly refinished in Verde Bronze, complete except for the wand in her hand. This is a two piece set, statue held onto base with pegs, lifts off easily. One of the more collectable statue clocks. Ly-Ansonia No.1496.

The statue shows three fingers partially missing. Some of the parts are bagged inside the clock case for restoration. The porcelain clock dial is in excellent condition with no cracks. The hands appear to be original. The back door to the clock is missing. The statue rests upon the base using two pins in the base of the statue. Ht 24 3/4Ó

Both the statue and the base show a very nice bronze finish. The porcelain dial is excellent with no hairline cracks. The hands are original. Overall this is a very nice, clean example of this model. Ht 25Ó

This particular clock has been sprayed gold and then varnished over, so may need some addition attention. Note also there is a small chip in the porcelain dial at 9, and this particular clock has Ansonia’s 8-day lever movement. This clock sold for $50 in 1904. Height 25 inches
