C.1890, Ansonia Clock Co., “Fisher” Swinging Arm clock, in generally good condition.
This swing clock is an unusual model with a female fisher figure more often found on double statue examples, but obviously it is completely original. Eight-day movement is complete and marked Ansonia. This clock is in nice, original condition with original hands, numerals, but “as found” needing cleaning of metal parts. Some wear to plating and some gilt parts on pendulum have been painted gold, and the wire from the fisher’s left hand to the fish has been re-newed. Height 24.5Ó to top of pendulum. $2,500-$3,000

C.1890, Ansonia Clock Co., “Fisher Swing” clock in generally good original condition.
The arm has been moist at some time and there is a bit of corrosion around the dial, and the dial with stains and wear (it is still quite good). The canister has taken a bump on the right side. The movement is a bit dirty, but is still running; rear plate is properly die stamped with Ansonia information. Set stem is lacking, but the small end of a double end key works fine. The statue retains original patina in very good condition; bottom felt is missing but is easily replaced. Between 1880 and 1900 Ansonia used two heights of iron bases, as this is the short one, the height is a couple inches less than some catalogs indicate. It is a decent example. Height 22 inches

The dial is a bit dark from someone oiling the movement from the rear, but otherwise this is a great original example with fabulous original dark bronze finish on the statue. Height 22″

Condition: this clock is in good+ condition, some discoloration on the statue, and the “fish” have been repainted. Movement is clean and seems to run fine. A nice example of this model. Height 23.25 inches

The arm has been restored by Chas Carrick, the rods burnished and all the brass buffed. The statue, fortunately retains original patina intact. Height 24 inches

C.1883, Ansonia Clock Co., ÓFisher Swing, Ò(female) with short, 4Ó dial canister arm, original to statue.
Condition: Someone has repaired the support bar where it attaches to her hand. It is running Ok as shown, and retains original finish and patina on statue. The arm has been dropped and the top ribbon on the bow-tie is broken away; paper dial is replaced (Swartchild logo). An uncommon swinger with potential. Height 25 inches
