Catalog Description:

Ansonia Clock Co. cabinet clock, "Sharon", ca 1894. 8 day, strikes half hours on cathedral gong. Gilt dial with American sash, correct bob, original key. Great walnut case is 15 1/2 inches, lots of scroll work, tiered and molded pieces with etchings. Like so many shelf clocks made in successive years the design may vary year to year. The catalogs show different ornaments and trim. Columns on side are missing or top ornaments are different. Back door has a glass insert. Ly-Ansonia No.856.
