Antique Ansonia "La Grande" Model Clock

Previous Model - Next Model
La Grande

Catalog Description:

C.1905, Royal Bonn "La Grande" Porcelain china mantel clock with a good French bell strike movement. This signed Bonn case is exactly the same as the Ansonia LaGrande, so we have no idea whether the French bought these cases direct from Germany, or whether someone simply put a French movement in an empty Ansonia case. We will never be able to answer these questions, however, we can see that this is a beautiful china clock and can be enjoyed as-is, or perhaps be used to replace a broken Ansonia LaGrande case. Porcelain dial is cream colored and excellent; the case is a very pale lime green with dark red, violet and orange flowers, and without blemish. Height 20 inches $550-850
