Antique Ansonia "Hanging Antique" Model Clock

Catalog Description:

C.1900, Ansonia "Hanging Antique" in very good condition, refinished. This clock is in walnut, and was received as an \'antique wedding gift\' in 1965. The couple had it refinished to match their other walnut furniture and the stain is darker than we normally expect. The clock hung in the same spot for 35 years and we had to use the vacuum on it to get of the dust and cobwebs. The movement is still VERY dirty and will need service prior to operation (it is complete and sound). The original gilding on the ormolu parts is still very bright, and the original twisty weights with fancy end-caps and cast chain stops are all there. Height 46" These have been bringing in the $7500 to $10,000 range, and our reserve will allow for cleaning and other minor attention. Reserve $6000
